MEMBERSHIP

    ACTIVE

    Active membership is limited to holders of a USDA establishment license for production of veterinary biologics, firms in the process of obtaining such a license, and firms holding USDA import permits for sale and distribution.

    ASSOCIATE

    Associate membership is available to companies and individuals in allied industries.

    INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT

    Independent Consultant membership is available for an individual operating as a one-person consulting business.





    Dues are payable on a calendar year basis. Annual dues are payable no later than the 15th of January of each year, or when the application for new membership is submitted. (Article II Section 2 Paragraph 2.3 of the Bylaws of the Association of Veterinary Biologics Companies, states that The dues shall be prorated for new members who apply during the year, i.e., full-year dues shall be payable if application is made before March 31; seventy-five percent (75%) of full-year dues shall be payable if application is made between April 1 and June 30; fifty percent (50%) if application is made between July 1 and September 30; and if application is made after September 30, full-year dues shall be payable but no additional dues shall be due for the following year.)

    Sponsorship. The Bylaws of the Association of Veterinary Biologics Companies require that two active member firms recommend prospective companies or firms for membership to the AVBC Membership Committee. This Committee makes its recommendation to the AVBC Board of Directors. New AVBC members are accepted by majority vote of the Board of Directors.
